Sam
Sam is a 15 year old 16H unregistered Palomino Quarter Horse with a beautifully silky flaxen mane and tail. He LOVES attention and considers it his job to look after the mares pastured with him. He has been pastured with miniature and full sized mares.
Sam was diagnosed with EPM in 2005 and treated successfully with Marquis. He has fully recovered all his muscle tone. He does have a few creaks but it does not affect his ability to get up and go. We keep him on a joint supplement just as a precaution. In fact, he has a terrific build with a beautiful head.
However, he has not been ridden a lot in the past two years. He was once an AWESOME trail horse, used for camping as well as parades. Sam hasn't forgotten anything, he just needs someone with time and solid riding experience to put some miles on him to bring him back into shape. He is not CURRENTLY for a beginning rider. If an intermediate or advanced rider will get him back into shape, he could be a beginner's horse again.

BlackJack
BlackJack is a 5 year old approximately 16.3H black percheron gelding. He has been professionally started under saddle (Western) by Matt Gable, a John Lyons certified trainer. BlackJack is a gentle giant and a real sweetheart. He is the first one to greet you at the gate and gets along wonderfully with his pasturemates. He loves the miniatures horses pastured next to him and likes to play with them over the gate. BlackJack does not yet have a lot of hours on him and simply needs someone who can spend time riding him regularly. He has all his basics and just needs repetition to become an excellent trail horse.
BlackJack is available for $2500.
