The Lazy R Ranch's trainer, Margaret Kerfien, can help with any of these issues and many, many more. Margaret specializes is working with miniature horses but she takes selected full size horses for ground work and specialized "tune-up" issues. Horses in training reside at the Lazy R Ranch during training which is scheduled in one month increments. Some issues can easily be resolved within a month. Others may take 2-3 months to accomplish the training goals. An individual training plan is established for each horse based on the goals and priorities you outline when your horse comes in for training. An essential part of the training is teaching you the cues your horse knows so you can continue his training when he arrives home. Training is not a magic bullet. All horses require follow-up and consistent behaviors on the part of their humans upon their return home.
