Volunteer Opportunities at the Lazy R Ranch!

The Lazy R Ranch LOVES its volunteers!

Grooming, cleaning stalls, sweeping the aisles, delivering hay... all the things that go into running a ranch -- our volunteers have the opportunity to participate in these activities.  Some volunteers come a couple times a month while others have a regular weekly schedule.

Would you like to be a Lazy R Ranch volunteer?  Volunteering is a great opportunity for outside education for homeschool students.  It's also a fantastic source of exercise and stress or boredom relief for retirees, stay-at-home moms,  or families looking for an activity to do together.  Anyone who enjoys working outdoors and being around horses will enjoy working at as a volunteer at the Lazy R Ranch.

Minimium volunteer age is 7.  Volunteers under the age of 16 must have a parent working with them.  Once trained, volunteers have the flexibility to simply come when they can.  We simply appreciate knowing when you'll be able to help us so we can plan our days.

Thanks to our regular volunteers:  Doreen Pottle and the Lash Family -- Cathy, Michael, Sarah and Cathy's sister, Belinda Warren.  Thanks also to Jessie Griffin and Margaret and Terry Kerfien who often give of their time when we need something done.

Pictured aboved are:  Doreen with Broadway (who she now owns!) at one of our tours, Michael with Dreamer, and Cathy and Belinda grooming Nike.  Sarah is not pictured as she was out in the front pasture when pictures were being taken -- we will catch her in action later -- probably braiding one of the Gypsy's manes!
